MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 28 mm, 12.73 g, 12 h), circa 160-150. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; to left, monogram of ΠΕΡΓ; to lower left, monogram; to right, race torch. Kleiner 11b. Plankenhorn, Mysien, p. 131, 40 (this coin). SNG Paris -. Darkly toned. Very light pitting on the obverse and minor traces of corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
